Effective Freight Coordinator

**Job Overview**
As a Fleet Allocator, you will be responsible for planning and managing the delivery of freight on our Local & Regional fleet. This involves effective utilisation of both carriers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of freight to meet customer and statutory requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Plan and manifest deliveries to ensure timely and efficient transportation of freight
- Book additional transport as required
- Ensure dispatching depots have manifests and appropriate paperwork
- Liaise with depot staff to ensure timely loading of vehicles
- Investigate and resolve service issues in a timely manner
- Ensure all incidents and hazards are reported and corrective actions implemented
- Maintain compliance with statutory and company requirements.
**Essential Skills**
- Good communication, time management, and customer service skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems, know when to seek advice, suggest solutions or escalate as required.
