Travel Agent Job Description

Job Title:

A retail travel agent is sought to join a customer sales team, working at a brand new retail store located at a major shopping centre.

The ideal candidate will be tasked with selling packages and helping each customer create an incredible travel experience.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage all sales inquiries face to face, by phone or electronically.
  • Answer simultaneous customer enquiries promptly, competently and professionally.
  • Offer excellent customer service by providing customers with general information relating to services, packages and pricing.
  • Recommend solutions that meet the needs of both business and customer.
  • Provide full package upgrade options for our members.
  • Ensure daily follow up and ownership of customer sales enquiries.
  • Display initiative in customer solutions and team engagement.
  • Resolve customer complaints where applicable and refer to the correct department for resolution.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Be personable, approachable and professional with a passion for helping customers find luxury holidays.
  • Have a background in retail sales - travel experience will be highly regarded.
  • Be comfortable dealing with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and thrive in a competitive environment.
  • Be flexible with your availability, including weekends and evenings.
  • Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, pay close attention to detail and be extremely passionate about customer sales.
  • Be driven to succeed, enjoy a challenge and work towards achieving goals.
