About the Role

Cranbrook Care is seeking a skilled Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to join our team at Bella Vista Gardens, a modern and personalized residential aged care facility in the Sydney Hills District.

This is a part-time opportunity available 3 days a week, Tuesday to Thursday, 10am to 6pm. As a Leisure and Lifestyle Officer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents living with dementia by organizing and implementing engaging leisure and lifestyle activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing individualized leisure and lifestyle plans for residents
  • Collaborating with families, carers, and friends to ensure resident involvement and engagement
  • Integrating the facility into the wider local community through various activities and events

We are looking for an experienced and creative individual with a Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle, who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and making a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with people with dementia
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of contemporary diversionary therapy services and person-centered care
