About the Role

Cranbrook Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to join our team at Bella Vista Gardens, a leading residential aged care facility in the Sydney Hills District.

In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for our residents living with dementia, by designing and implementing engaging leisure and lifestyle activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being.

As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and deliver programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents, their families, and carers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement leisure and lifestyle activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and deliver programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of residents, families, and carers
  • Assist in the organization and implementation of events, outings, and activities that promote community engagement and social connection
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external providers and community groups to enhance our residents' experiences
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote person-centered care and resident-centered practice

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with people with dementia and their families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity
