About the Role

The Family Violence Coordinator plays a crucial part in managing the operational response to family violence across all divisions of the Children's Court of Victoria.

This position is responsible for coordinating the listing and hearing of intervention order proceedings, as well as facilitating referrals to the Court's dedicated Family Violence Practitioners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the daily operational response to family violence
  • Listing and hearing intervention order proceedings
  • Facilitating referrals to Family Violence Practitioners

The successful candidate will contribute to the Court's response to family violence, working closely with the judiciary, court registrars, support workers, police, legal services, and other support services to effectively manage cases involving individuals experiencing and using family violence.

This role requires excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a complex, demanding, and sensitive environment.
