Disaster Restoration Technician Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our disaster restoration team. As a Disaster Restoration Technician, you will play a crucial role in helping people get back to normality after experiencing flood, fire, or mould damage.

The Role:

You will be working as part of a team, undertaking various tasks including emergency water extraction, structural drying, specialized cleaning duties, and fire, smoke, and soot damage cleaning/remediation. You may also be required to undertake small-scale demolition work, mould remediation, contents cleaning and restoration, and preparation of field reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team to respond to emergency situations
  • Conduct emergency water extraction, structural drying, and specialized cleaning duties
  • Perform fire, smoke, and soot damage cleaning/remediation
  • Undertake small-scale demolition work and mould remediation
  • Prepare field reports and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

  • A strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Self-motivation with a desire to learn new skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Empathy towards clients
  • Driver's License
  • Ability to pass a national police security check
  • Proficiency in the use of technology and apps
  • Background in carpentry, builder's labourer, cleaner, carpet cleaner, carpet layer, handyman, or general trades assistant (ideal but not essential)
