Nurse Specialist in Refugee Health Care

Mater Misericordiae Ltd is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse to join its Mater Refugee Complex Care Clinic on a permanent part-time basis, working 16 hours per week.
The selected candidate will provide specialized nursing assessments, immunization services, care coordination, health advocacy, and health literacy to individuals arriving in Brisbane under the Humanitarian Settlement Program.
Key Responsibilities- Provide mentorship and guidance to less-experienced nursing team members
- Support the Nurse Unit Manager in driving continuous quality improvement and skill development
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
- An open driver's license and ability to travel to work sites across Brisbane North and South
- Immunization Program Nurse qualification or currently enrolled in course, with evidence of up-to-date continuing professional development in immunization
- Postgraduate qualification in a related discipline highly desired
- Minimum 3 years' clinical experience in refugee health/primary care/rehabilitation/disability/paediatrics/geriatrics/chronic disease
- Previous experience in primary care, with prior experience and training in triage highly regarded
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds
