Rural Healthcare Support Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact while gaining unique professional and personal experiences.

As a Rural Healthcare Support Worker, you will provide person-centred care and support to clients with a variety of needs, including those with dementia and high care requirements.

You will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing care plans tailored to individual client goals.

The role requires collaboration with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery.

You will maintain accurate, timely documentation in line with organisational and regulatory standards.

Promoting a safe, inclusive, and culturally respectful environment for clients and colleagues is also a key aspect of the role.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing person-centred care and support to clients with a variety of needs.
  • Developing, coordinating, and implementing care plans tailored to individual client goals.
  • Collaborating with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate, timely documentation in line with organisational and regulatory standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Certificate III (or higher) in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, or Disability.

Qualified and experienced healthcare professional, with a minimum of three years' experience working in community or residential aged care.

Demonstrated knowledge and/or recent experience in aged care, including dementia care and manual handling (hoist operation).

Current Australian driver's licence, and access to a registered vehicle with a minimum of third-party insurance.

Current Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, or willingness to obtain prior to placement.
