About This Role:

We are seeking experienced and credentialed midwives to provide maternity services in rural and remote communities across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver evidence-based midwifery care throughout pregnancy, labour, birth, and postnatal periods.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe and culturally appropriate services.
  • Provide responsive, compassionate, and person-centred care in various rural and remote settings.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, respectful, and culturally sensitive environment.
  • Adapt to diverse clinical settings, often with limited resources, in rural and remote communities.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Midwife.
  • A minimum of 3 years of full-time midwifery experience.
  • A minimum of 250 hours of relevant clinical midwifery practice within the past 12 months.
  • Evidence of current CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) training with a practical component.
  • Currency in CTG training in accordance with Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) guidelines.
