Key Opportunities:

The successful candidate will play a vital role in the Australian Defence Air Traffic System (ADATS) Capability Assurance Program (CAP), ensuring the continued effectiveness of military air traffic control capabilities across RAAF bases nationwide.

As a Systems Engineer within the ADATS CAP program, you will be responsible for implementing system upgrades across multiple sites, working with advanced COTS solutions from industry-leading global technology providers in the defence and aviation sectors.

You will support technical integration of system upgrades with existing ADATS infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation across multiple RAAF sites nationwide. This includes analysing and documenting system interface requirements between COTS components and legacy systems, executing verification and validation activities, including factory and site acceptance testing.

Key responsibilities include identifying technical risks and implementing approved mitigation strategies for system integration challenges, working collaboratively with subcontractors and stakeholders in executing system implementation and transition plans.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years' relevant engineering experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of systems engineering principles and practices
  • Proven technical problem-solving skills with ability to work under general supervision
  • Experience in requirements analysis and system integration activities
