Lead Financial Strategy and Risk Management Officer

The Chief Financial and Risk Officer leads the development of financial strategy, risk management, and governance across the organisation. This role is responsible for ensuring strong financial systems, performance, and strategic financial planning are aligned with each entity's goals.

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the team.
  • Manage financial accounting, compliance, assets, and risk.
  • Deliver timely and accurate reports to boards and senior leadership.
  • Act as a business partner and advisor.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Build trusted relationships with external partners and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • A proven leader with experience in executive leadership roles.
  • High-level financial and risk management experience.
  • Experience preparing and presenting financial reports to senior boards and committees.
  • Broad knowledge of accounting for membership, government, and philanthropic organisations.
  • Well-developed interpersonal engagement and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage a team to deliver high-quality and timely services.
  • High-level strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • A recognised accounting qualification (CA/CPA or equivalent).
