The Fire Fighting Equipment Technician role involves installing, maintaining and repairing fire fighting equipment across various locations in Western Australia.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Routine inspection of fire fighting equipment
  • Maintenance and repair of fire extinguishers, fire blankets, fire hose reels, hoses and nozzles, fire hydrants, fire pump sets, fire alarm and detection systems, emergency lighting, and automatic sprinkler systems
  • Conducting physical checks on fire equipment such as extinguisher mechanisms, unreeling fire hoses, and pressure testing fire hoses
  • Replacing fire extinguishers that require refilling or overhaul

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fire safety regulations and protocols, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

A valid WA C (Manual) Class Drivers License, High Risk Fork Lift License, and ability to acquire a National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, and pass regular Drug & Alcohol Screens are required.

Key Requirements:

  • Good personal grooming and presentation
  • Ability to plan daily routes efficiently
  • Effective communication with clients' representatives

This is a 40 hour week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with varying hours including site visits and time spent at the workshop.
