Mechanical Fitter Position

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for performing preventative and unplanned maintenance on conveyor systems, including mechanical components like motors, gearboxes, chains, belts, bearings, shafts, rollers and sprockets.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine inspections to identify wear, perform repairs, and replace worn or damaged parts to prevent system failures.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) if required and sensors.
- Inspections and Repairs: Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to diagnose and resolve faults.
- CERT III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade)
- Construction Induction (White Card)
- Valid Driver's Licence
- 4 years' experience within manufacturing or facilities management is highly desirable
- Forklift licence
- Boom Type Elevating Work Platform (WP - High Risk Licence)
- Elevated Work Platform Licence (SL - Scissor Lift & BL - Boom Lift) (EWP Yellow Card)
