Job Title: Mechanical Technician (Fitter)

Mechanical technicians (fitters) play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of automated machines at our facilities.

This is an excellent opportunity to join our team as a skilled mechanical technician (fitter), responsible for performing preventative maintenance, inspections, corrective and breakdown maintenance on automated machines.

The ideal candidate will have a certificate 3 in mechanical engineering or indentured certificate as a fitter & turner, along with proven experience in maintenance and operation of automated filling and packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, corrective and breakdown maintenance on automated machines.
  • Overhaul and maintain automated filling and packaging machines, including supporting machine/line changeovers.
  • Operate with Microsoft software packages and computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Work to GMP principles with an appreciation of aseptic processes and techniques.
Requirements:
  • Certificate 3 in mechanical engineering or indentured certificate as a fitter & turner.
  • Proven experience in maintenance and operation of automated filling and packaging equipment.
  • Experience in a regulated GMP environment in pharmaceutical or food manufacturing is an advantage.
