Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced team leader to manage the accounts workload and daily activities.

  • Provide input into staff performance agreements and appraisals.
  • Compile accounts information for reporting purposes.
  • Liaise with internal and external clients.
  • Coach and manage two staff members.
  • Create and/or maintain procedures for assigned tasks as required/directed.
  • Manage more complex matters regarding accounts payable and receivable processes and enquiries.
  • Undertake payment runs - finance one and SAP.
  • Undertake outstanding invoice approval follow-ups.
  • Post batches/document files.
  • Finalise the creation of AP vendor records.
  • Process reserve bank of Australia manual and overseas payments.
  • Prepare late payment interest calculations.
  • Process credit notes.
  • Assist staff to handle incoming communications.
  • Post invoices, credit notes and receipts.
  • Provide backup and support for assistant director, financial operations.
  • Creating and maintaining AR debtor records.

Requirements:

  • Current government experience is highly desirable
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance
  • Experience in running a team
  • Background with accounts payable/receivable
