VE Group AU are a Civil Contracting, Plant Hire and Transport Logistics Company looking for a Heavy Haulage Transport Operator to join our Southeast Queensland Operations Team. VE Group currently provides services across several industry sectors including urban development, transport infrastructure and resources. We self-perform our projects throughout Queensland, with a late model and owned fleet of civil and transport equipment.

This role would suit someone who first and foremost aligns with our values and has a solid background in operating late model prime movers and an array of trailers with oversize and overmass loads. Your experience should demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, the ability to adapt to dynamic work environments, and a proven track record of delivering results in heavy haulage operations.

The role encompasses the following responsibilities:

- Safely and efficiently transport oversize and overmass loads throughout Ipswich, Brisbane and regional Queensland.
- Accurately and promptly complete all necessary compliance paperwork.
- Take responsibility for the upkeep of vehicles and equipment under your care.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, fatigue management protocols, vehicle operating guidelines, load specifications, axle weights and relevant route and vehicle permits.

Qualifications and Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have the following:

- Multi-Combination (MC) Driver's License.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Heavy Haulage Transport Operator.
- Proven experience operating low loaders and flatbed trailers.
- An MSIC license is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience with the operations of civil machinery.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating with pilots and police for load transport operations.
- Capability to work independently with a proactive mindset for resolving challenges.
- Comprehensive knowledge of NHVR regulations, Main Roads heavy vehicle legislation and permitting standards.
- A team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
