About the Role

Relationships Australia Tasmania (RA Tas) is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting individuals and families. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Violence Counsellor to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide trauma-informed, age-appropriate assistance to children, families, and individuals impacted by family violence.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality services.
  • Assess risk and safety plan for individuals and families where family violence is present.
  • Develop and implement effective service delivery plans to meet the needs of clients.
  • Provide referrals to specialist services when required.
Requirements
  • A Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent tertiary qualification.
  • Understanding of the impacts of family violence on children and their development.
  • Ability to work with children and young people and adapt service delivery to individual needs.
  • Highly developed communication skills.

  • Salary starting from $87,000 (pro-rata).
