Job Summary:

This role leads the ARDC team within the Curtin Institute for Data Science and reports to the Institute Director and the ARDC Expertise Team Manager.

You will provide subject matter expertise to support programs of work across the ARDC's Strategic Pillars and promote software as a first-class research output, enhancing its visibility, value, and use in Australian research.

  • Skillfully manage and coordinate projects to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive innovation and excellence in data science.
  • Collaborate with researchers and partners to enhance the visibility, value, and use of research software in Australia.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Analytically evaluate project performance and identify areas for improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A strong background in data science or a related field.
  • Proven experience in program management, preferably in a research or academic setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to think strategically and analytically.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
