Job Overview

Kaleidoscope Legal Recruitment is seeking a skilled and experienced legal assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in family law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to work on complex family law matters, including separation, divorce, children and parenting, child support and maintenance, property and financial settlements, asset protection, and intervention orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Matter Management: Manage files and diaries to ensure timely completion of tasks and cases.
  • Client Liaison: Communicate with clients, barristers, courts, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth case progression.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare and draft legal documents and correspondence as required.
  • Briefing Barristers: Assist in preparing briefs for barristers.
  • Administrative Tasks: Arrange appointments and conferences, manage billing, and perform other administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 12 months' experience in a similar family law role.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and show initiative.
  • Great organisational and prioritisation abilities.
  • IT proficiency with good technical skills.
