About the Opportunity

You will be responsible for providing and supporting the design of a vessel from concept through to delivery, ensuring it meets regulatory standards.

This is an opportunity to contribute to projects of national significance in the maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce accurate information and documentation meeting procedural requirements
  • Ensure vessel design complies with regulatory authorities and customer specifications
  • Maintain attention to detail, minimising rework and ensuring consistency across deliverables
  • Manage and incorporate design inputs from third parties, including drawings, certifications, and manuals
  • Monitor task schedules and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality
  • Provide technical support across design and production teams
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Formal drafting qualifications or equivalent
  • Proficient in drafting software, AutoCAD, Shipconstructor, and Microsoft office
  • Basic understanding of materials and their compatibility in a marine environment
  • Skilled in 3D modelling
