We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our secure federal environment.

This role is ideal for those with a passion for security and a desire to contribute to Australia's national cyber capabilities.

  • This hybrid role based in ACT, SA or VIC will shape cyber defence systems through expert assessment, integration, and design.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of our systems and protecting against potential threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform risk assessments and vulnerability testing on existing systems.
  • Design and implement secure systems architecture.
  • Develop and maintain security policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the organization.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for experienced infrastructure engineers with a security mindset and NV1 clearance to apply their skills in a dynamic environment.

  • You'll need strong skills in threat analysis and countermeasure design.
  • Proficiency in security system design tools and techniques.
  • Ability to write code in a supported language (e.g. Java, C++).
  • Experience assessing security controls using frameworks such as CIS CSC, NIST SP 800-53.
