Job Summary

This role is for an ICT Security Specialist who will work within the Cyber Systems Cell, a dynamic team that provides technical and engineering knowledge to support Navy capabilities. The specialist will undertake duties and responsibilities including providing cyber security advice, developing and maintaining relevant knowledge, and contributing to the development of standard operating procedures.

About the Role

The ICT Security Specialist will report to the Cyber Systems Cell and work closely with Engineers and Technical Specialists from different disciplines. The role requires strong analytical skills in the field of cyber security and networking, as well as the ability to prioritize and manage tasks to achieve own and team outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide cyber security advice on Navy systems throughout the capability life cycle;
  • Commitment to Defence leadership behaviours including accountability, risk management, inclusivity, partnerships, and building high-performance teams;
  • Develop and maintain relevant knowledge in relation to procedures and policies;
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures, policies and procedures;
  • Undertake cyber security research and testing;
  • Support security incident investigations and analysis.
