We are seeking a skilled Automation Specialist to join our team in Newcastle. As an Automation Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and use your exceptional problem-solving and technical skills to progress your career.

The successful candidate will be working with Building Automation and energy management systems within commercial and industrial buildings. The role involves designing, upgrading, commissioning, and maintaining these systems, as well as providing technical advisory services to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Run diagnostics, troubleshoot, and service Building Automation / Energy Management Systems.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions to expand and improve existing systems.
  • Complete projects and upgrade works on new and existing sites.
  • Design and programming of BMS / HVAC control systems.
  • Analyse data from a building's BMS to gain clarity on systems and faults.
  • Project management and small project work; work with clients in a technical advisory / consultative capacity.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Industry experience within electrical, HVAC, instrumentation / controls, security, data or related trades is highly regarded.
  • Hands-on experience with cabling or mechanical-electrical work and a willingness to further develop these skills.
  • A strong interest in IT and cybersecurity related skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with client-facing experience; customer-focused with ability to generate further business by providing solutions.
  • High-level problem-solving skills and a willingness to ongoing learn with BMS & Commercial Automation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects autonomously and as part of a team; enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated.
  • Current driver's license and willingness to travel.
