Automation Technician

This is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of automation systems. As an Automation Technician, you will be tasked with maintaining and repairing complex equipment, including telemetry, PLC, SCADA, instrumentation, and industrial/automation communication networks.


The Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Automation Technician. This individual will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to ensure the optimal performance of our automation systems.


Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on automation equipment, including condition assessment, fault finding, and rectification.
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve system efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to other staff members, including electrical technicians and engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve automation-related issues.

Requirements:
  • Electrical trade qualifications, preferably with a focus on automation and control systems.
  • Post-trade qualifications in a relevant field, such as automation or instrumentation.
  • Formal training in PLC, SCADA, telemetry, or instrumentation systems.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the automation field, with a proven track record of delivering results.
