Project Manager

About this role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as we launch into our 2030 strategy. You will be responsible for engaging in the end-to-end delivery of development and infrastructure projects from feasibility through to construction and handover.

  • Project Management: Manage project documentation including scopes, schedules, budgets, risk registers, procurement plans, and tender submissions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, councils, government authorities, consultants, and contractors.
  • Financial and Commercial Management: Manage project financial performance including forecasting, resource planning, reporting, and commercial risk.
  • Business Development: Participate in business development, proposal preparation, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Leadership: Lead and deliver multidisciplinary development and infrastructure projects within Tasmania and other states.

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Project Management Expertise: 5+ years of strong project management capability in either engineering, construction or property development with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Technical and Regulatory Knowledge: Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical, planning, and regulatory information effectively.
  • Financial Acumen: Financial and commercial acumen with an understanding of project profitability, cost control, and contract administration.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and client presentations.
  • Organisational Skills: Self-motivated with excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Strong leadership, mentoring, and team coordination skills.
