Permanency Coordinator Position

This is a full-time opportunity with the possibility of extension in our team.

The successful applicant will work in the Northern NSW region, including Ballina, Grafton, Lismore, and Tweed Heads or the Hunter & Central Coast region, including Cessnock, Charlestown, Gosford, Maitland, Mayfield, and Raymond Terrace.

About Your Role:

We are seeking an experienced professional to provide practice leadership, consultation and support to help drive better outcomes for children, young people and their families by achieving permanency within a 2 year timeframe.

As a Permanency Coordinator you will be responsible for providing consultation and review of permanency options for children in statutory out of home care, use innovative solutions tailored to meet individual needs, and provide practical (field) permanency support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultation and review of permanency options for children in care.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve permanency within a set timeframe.
  • Offer practical support to assist in achieving permanent placements.
What We Are Looking For:

We require an experienced professional with a minimum of 2 years' experience in working in child protection or out of home care. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in delivering high-quality support services.
  • A current driver's licence as travel will be required.
  • A National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • A Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with relevant legislation.
