Dementia Support Specialist

This is a permanent part-time position based at North Ryde, NSW. The successful candidate will work closely with the Team Leader National Dementia Helpline to provide dementia-specific consultations through incoming and outgoing phone calls, live chat, and email.
About the RoleThe role of a Helpline Advisor involves providing brief, solution-focused support and information to individuals affected by dementia and their carers. They will also facilitate service referrals to relevant internal and external services, including education programs, support groups, and other appropriate services tailored to client needs.
Key Responsibilities- Providing dementia-specific consultations through incoming and outgoing phone calls, live chat, and email
- Facilitating service referrals to relevant internal and external services
- Maintaining accurate documentation of client activity and other relevant information
- Participating in monthly team meetings, formal clinical supervision sessions, and allocated professional development time
