About Our Role:

Project Engineer Job

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team on a major road upgrade project, with a strong focus on utilities and drainage works. This role involves managing and overseeing utilities and drainage packages, including stormwater, sewer, water, and electrical relocations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of civil infrastructure components, working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee utilities and drainage packages, including stormwater, sewer, water, and electrical relocations.
  • Coordinate trenching, service proving, backfilling, and reinstatement works.
  • Liaise with authorities, service providers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Maintain and review QA documentation, including ITPs and test reports.
  • Support the delivery team with procurement, scheduling, and cost tracking.
  • Contribute to construction methodologies and staging plans.
  • Prepare and maintain site diaries, look-ahead programs, and SWMS.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience working with Tier 2 contractors on civil infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of utilities, stormwater, and drainage systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Valid driver's licence and construction industry white card.
