About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Closure Planner to join our team at Greencap. As a Mine Closure Planner, you will play a critical role in the development of Mine Closure Plans and Cost Estimates that contribute to Engineering Concept Studies.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Contribute to the development of Mine Closure Plans and Cost Estimates that contribute to Engineering Concept Studies.
  • Provide advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders on rehabilitation & closure issues.
  • Utilise your strong technical skill base to develop closure strategies for complex landforms.
  • Have an understanding of the necessary documentation to meet regulatory and legislative requirements during mine planning, design, operation and closure.
  • Deliver strategic work for the business, including the development of new processes required to support the transition of assets to closure.
  • Ensure that closure aspects are considered in mine planning, design and operation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant degree in Environmental Science, Management or Engineering.
  • Knowledge of the WA mining market, including relevant approvals and legislation.
  • 5+ years' experience in closure planning, mining, rehabilitation and/or related area.
  • Prior experience working through the study phase of mine closure, either long term planning or execution.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience dealing with a variety of clients and stakeholders.
