We are seeking an experienced Environmental Team Lead to join our Mine Closure team at Stantec. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and support to our clients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to our team and clients on mine closure planning and environmental management.
- Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients, understanding their needs and delivering high-quality solutions.
- Project Management: Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary studies for mine closure planning, including analysis of soil and geochemical data.
- Site Visits: Conduct site visits to provide advice to clients on geoscience and closure aspects, and rehabilitation planning.
- Communication: Prepare clear, concise technical reports and proposals, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Soil Science, Geochemistry, Geology, Environmental or Geotechnical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of 8 years professional experience in environmental consultancy or mining company, with a strong understanding of state-based closure standards and guidelines.
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with highly developed technical reporting skills.
