Job Overview:

As a Principal Engineer Network Planning, you will lead the development of strategic planning processes to assess network capabilities and emerging issues. Your key responsibilities include assessing limitations in existing or future areas, planning augmentation of our network to maintain bushfire safety compliance, and managing delivery of current and emerging non-network solutions.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for this role include leading comprehensive strategic planning processes, planning network augmentation, and managing non-network solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in contemporary electricity network planning and asset management practices
  • Expertise in using electricity network analysis tools and relevant software
  • Detailed knowledge of National Electricity Rules, energy markets, and relevant laws, regulations, rules, licences, and agreements
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously from conception to implementation
