Role Description

This is a contract, on-site role for a Network Engineer located in Geelong, VIC. The Network Engineer will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing network infrastructure. Daily tasks include network administration, network design, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring network security. The individual will collaborate with other IT professionals to enhance and maintain network performance.

The role goes beyond a typical Network Engineer as you'll form part of a small but highly capable team that is multi-disciplined.

Qualifications

  • Skills in Network Administration and Network Engineering
  • Experience in Troubleshooting network issues
  • Expertise in Network Security
  • Proficiency in Network Design
  • Experience in Microsoft Domain (on-premises)
  • Experience in Microsoft System Center
  • Experience with Linux server operating systems (including Red Hat)
  • Awareness of ITIL 4 (Foundations)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Project management skills for short and medium-term tasks
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field

Previous work experience:

  • Experience with the Information Security Manual
  • Implementation of Essential Eight

Citizenship and security clearance requirement

  • This role requires you to be an Australian Citizen who already holds an AGSVA NV1 clearance
