We are seeking a qualified Process Optimiser to join our team at the Green Mill in Tumbarumba. As a key member of the process control team, you will be responsible for optimising, managing and maintaining the quality of production and technical systems within the sawmill.

The ideal candidate will have strong initiative, agility, flexibility and adaptability in responding to challenges and problem solving. You will also possess good collaboration and communication skills to share information with others, as well as being proactive and innovative in looking for opportunities for continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the quality of production, including size control, grading and sawing finish evaluation
  • Understand and control optimisation settings, including product value and machine setups
  • Monitor the product mix and highlight and correct variances to align to the plan
  • Lead and support system and machine maintenance, including calibrations, alignments and other checks
  • Support the shift leadership team and development of technical and operating skills within the mill

You will work collaboratively with two technicians and the Optimization Lead to achieve key outcomes, prioritising safety before production.
