Aviation Project Director Job

We are seeking an experienced Aviation Project Director to lead and manage our aviation projects in the ANZ region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering airfield projects for international and regional commercial airport clients, as well as the Australian and New Zealand Defence Forces' portfolio of airfields.

  • Lead and manage a team of aviation specialists to deliver projects from planning to project closeout.
  • Develop and execute business growth opportunities with AECOM's clients and construction partners.
  • Participate in the development and execution of our ANZ Aviation business strategy.
  • Active involvement in the Aviation Technical Practice Group, comprising 850+ peers globally.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 15+ years' experience in airside infrastructure engineering design, aviation pavement design, pavement condition assessment, and evaluation.
  • Experience in interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating the capture and delivery of major aviation projects across both civil and Defence sectors.
  • Strong leadership skills, including project delivery and management, design management across disciplines, and client relationship management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry standards and guidelines, including CASA, FAA, IATA, and ICAO.
