Aviation Leadership Position

We are seeking an experienced aviation professional to lead our team in Melbourne. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering airfield projects for international and regional commercial airport clients, as well as the Australian and New Zealand Defence Forces' portfolio of airfields.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in airside infrastructure engineering design, aviation pavement design, pavement condition assessment, and evaluation. They will also possess excellent leadership and project delivery skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate major aviation projects.

In addition to technical expertise, the successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of professionals in the delivery of airfield projects
  • Drive technical excellence across the ANZ Aviation portfolio
  • Develop business growth opportunities with clients and construction partners
  • Participate in the development and execution of the ANZ Aviation business strategy
  • Active involvement in the Aviation Technical Practice Group, comprised of a network of 850+ peers around the globe
Qualifications:

The following qualifications and experience are highly desirable:

  • 15+ years' experience in airside infrastructure engineering design, aviation pavement design, pavement condition assessment, and evaluation
  • Experience in interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating the capture and delivery of major aviation projects, ideally across both civil and Defence sectors
  • Experience in project delivery and leadership, design management across disciplines
  • Demonstrated client relationship management, with strong communication skills and the ability to positively influence those around you
  • Comprehensive knowledge of standards and guidelines from CASA, FAA, IATA, and ICAO
