Road Safety Officer Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Road Safety Officer to join our team in Werribee. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community through effective education and enforcement of legislation related to parking and road safety.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide guidance, advice, and assistance to drivers regarding parking compliance matters. You will also take appropriate enforcement action where contraventions of parking legislation are identified. In addition, you will respond promptly to customer requests relating to illegal parking, abandoned and unregistered vehicles.

You will be required to patrol and supervise school crossings, present evidence in court as needed, and accurately record correspondence, notes, and evidence in our systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Government Investigations or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a parking compliance or regulatory role (previous experience in local government highly desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in a dynamic, customer-focused role
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and general IT proficiency, including an electronic infringement issuing device
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Current Victorian Driver's License
