Job Title: Archivist and Heritage Preservation Specialist

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to preserving national heritage by managing and preserving historical assets.

As an Archivist and Heritage Preservation Specialist, you will be responsible for assembling, authenticating, and archiving materials such as philatelic design artwork, stamp proofs, and heritage collections.

The successful candidate will support the accurate documentation and transfer of items to the National Archives or appropriate secondary storage while ensuring the integrity and completeness of our collection is upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Building: Establish strong relationships with providers and regulators to support operational and commercial outcomes.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with archiving and preservation regulations through timely and accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes and preservation practices through innovation and stakeholder feedback.
  • Culture Champion: Champion a culture of safety, compliance, and collaboration, supporting the One Team mindset and fostering pride in our history.

Requirements:

  • Organisational Skills: Demonstrated organisational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Background in Records Management: A background in records or information management.
  • Archiving Principles: Strong understanding of archiving principles and regulatory standards.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to provide insightful data and reporting.
