The role of Archivist/Collections Officer is a unique opportunity to contribute to the preservation of our national heritage. This position plays a key part in maintaining and managing historical assets, ensuring they are catalogued, maintained, and protected for future generations.
About the OpportunityAs an Archivist/Collections Officer, you will be responsible for assembling, authenticating, and archiving materials such as philatelic design artwork, stamp proofs, and heritage collections in line with the Archives Act. You will work closely with stakeholders to support the accurate documentation and transfer of items to secure storage, while ensuring the integrity and completeness of our collection is upheld.

You are a detail-oriented professional with a background in records or information management, passionate about preserving history and ensuring compliance. You bring a strong understanding of archiving principles, including the proper preservation and transfer of historical collections in accordance with regulatory standards.
Requirements- Possess a tertiary qualification in Information Management or a related field
- Demonstrate knowledge of the organisation's history and corporate context
- Be able to provide insightful data and reporting
