Job Summary

Cook role available in a fast-paced working environment, providing high-quality customer service to guests at international lounges.

As a key member of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving food for breakfast buffets, ensuring strict stock rotation and minimum wastage following stock control procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food for breakfast buffets, showcasing variety and flair
  • Ensure accurate stock rotation and minimize waste, adhering to stock control procedures
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring food products
  • Comply with Food Safety protocols at all times
  • Maintain clean and tidy working areas, washing dishes during service as required
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and cleaned, reporting any issues to management
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Cook in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Hold a valid food safety certificate
  • Strong culinary skills and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Must hold full working rights within Australia
  • Ability to pass a federal police background security check
