Cardiology Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Cardiology Specialist to join our team in Launceston. As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cardiology services and contributing to the development of the Northern Heart Centre.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general and/or cardiology, with experience providing high-level cardiology services in a tertiary or regional referral setting. You will also possess excellent clinical governance, teaching, and service development skills.

  • Deliver specialist cardiology services, including complex coronary interventions and structural heart procedures
  • Contribute to the development of the Northern Heart Centre, a major new facility with two state-of-the-art catheterisation labs
  • Engage in teaching of advanced trainees and junior doctors (three registrars currently on rotation)
  • Participate in quality improvement, disaster planning, and optional research
