Job Title: Staff Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced medical specialist to join our team at Launceston General Hospital.

The ideal candidate will be a permanent day worker with on-call responsibilities, working up to 76 hours per fortnight. The position is available immediately.

This is a Specialist Medical Practitioner position that offers a competitive salary ranging from $224,336 to $310,389 per annum (pro rata), plus 12% superannuation and access to salary packaging.

The Cardiology Department serves a catchment population of approximately 250,000, providing 24/7 cardiac services to Northern Tasmania.

The department is well established, supported by experienced medical and nursing staff, and performs over 2,000 procedures and more than 500 coronary angioplasties annually.

  • Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty required.
