Senior Behaviour Therapist

About the Role
Deliver high-quality, person-centred behaviour support services to a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify functional behaviours and support needs of clients
- Develop and implement evidence-based behaviour support plans in collaboration with clients, their families, and care teams
- Provide specialist behaviour support interventions and strategies to address complex behaviours and promote positive outcomes
- Deliver training and support to ensure effective implementation of behaviour support plans
- Monitor and evaluate plan effectiveness, making adjustments as needed
- Maintain detailed clinical records and contribute to continuous improvement of behaviour support services
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with healthcare professionals
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, or related allied health discipline
- Demonstrated or emerging experience in provision of behaviour support services, preferably in disability or mental health sectors
- Thorough understanding of positive behaviour support principles and ability to apply them in practice
- Strong clinical assessment and case formulation skills, with ability to develop tailored behaviour support plans
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage and collaborate with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
