Logistics Operations Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Logistics Operations Lead to join our team in Melbourne, Australia.

This is an afternoon shift role which comes with a 15% shift allowance.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving great performance, culture, customers and revenue outcomes by focusing on safety, engagement and productivity.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leading shift safety initiatives and being a visible safety champion.
  • Ensuring company safety policies and procedures are implemented.
  • Ensuring agreed customer service levels are met on a consistent basis.
  • Ensuring productivity outcomes are achieved via direct supervision and allocation of tasks.
  • Seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement with a focus on cost reduction.
  • Managing the operation within agreed contractual parameters to deliver quality customer service.
  • Leading and managing performance of the team.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Experience in a similar role within the logistics and transport industry.
  • Experience supporting a small or medium sized team.
  • Extensive experience working within regulatory frameworks.
  • A good understanding of MHE and traffic management.
  • An excellent understanding of and experience implementing safety procedures and product safety initiatives in line with quality standards and legal requirements.
