Video Platform Engineering Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead our video platform team. As a senior engineering manager, you will be responsible for driving the architecture and execution of our next-gen video rendering stack across native and web platforms.

You will be working closely with product and design teams to translate creative needs into platform capabilities used by millions globally.

This role requires a strong technical background in video codecs, rendering pipelines, and cross-platform systems. You should have experience managing large engineering orgs and building high-impact tech orgs.

You will be responsible for owning and delivering major evolutions in our video technology strategy. This includes partnering with stakeholders to define the technical vision and roadmap for the platform team.

You will also be responsible for mentoring engineers and building systems that scale across millions of users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the video platform team to drive innovation and growth
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to translate creative needs into platform capabilities
  • Define and deliver the technical vision and roadmap for the platform team
  • Mentor engineers and build systems that scale across millions of users
  • Owning and delivering major evolutions in our video technology strategy
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience leading platform engineering teams in multimedia, embedded systems, or video rendering domains
  • Deep knowledge of video codecs, rendering pipelines, and cross-platform systems
  • A proven track record managing large engineering orgs (15+), including staff engineers and EMs, and building high-impact tech orgs
  • Strong stakeholder management experience and the ability to influence technical direction at scale
  • A passion for fostering engineering excellence—mentoring engineers and building systems that scale across millions of users
