Business Development Director

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead our team and drive strategic growth initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee a dedicated team, identify and secure new clinical research opportunities, and develop outstanding relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the business development function, driving growth and expansion through strategic partnerships and new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Cultivate a robust pipeline of qualified leads, from initial contact through to contract execution.
  • Expand business within existing accounts by identifying unmet client needs and proposing appropriate solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in business development or sales within a CRO.
  • Demonstrated success in securing small to mid-scale clinical trial contracts and achieving sales targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of the drug development lifecycle, regulatory frameworks, and clinical trial operations.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret and negotiate complex contracts and budgets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and manage complex, matrixed relationships.
  • Strategic thinking and commercial awareness.
