Policy Advisor
About the Position:This is a crucial role within a team responsible for strategic engagement and government relations. As a Policy Advisor, you will be accountable for developing policy positions in areas including tertiary education legislative frameworks, international education, and student visa policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze government policies to determine their impacts on organizational operations and objectives.
- Develop advocacy plans for specific government relations campaigns.
- Foster and manage relationships of trust with key stakeholders.
- Prepare submissions for government policy reviews, proposed legislation, and other consultative processes.
- A degree with substantial relevant experience or extensive experience and policy expertise in tertiary education or complex regulatory environments.
- A sound understanding of policy, operations, and emerging trends in the tertiary education sector.
- Experience producing high-quality written content and supporting senior leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong cross-organizational relationships and partnerships.
