- We are seeking a highly skilled midwife to contribute to the development and delivery of neonatal and midwifery units at our Mt Helen campus.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified midwife to work as part of a dynamic team in the Institute of Health and Wellbeing – Mt Helen Campus. As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for designing, teaching, and evaluating neonatal and midwifery units at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
You will also play a key role in strengthening clinical partnerships and research in neonatal and perinatal health, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for practice in contemporary midwifery and newborn care.
The successful candidate will have strong neonatal and midwifery expertise, excellent communication skills, and experience supporting learners and embedding neonatal knowledge across curricula.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Midwife with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in neonatal care (Special Care Nursery and/or NICU experience essential);
- A commitment to scholarship and potential for academic advancement;
- Enthusiasm for student-centred teaching and learning; and
- Experience in academic administration.
