Job Description:

As a key member of our Defence and National Security team, you will play a vital role in delivering maritime engineering services to enhance the operational effectiveness of Defence maritime capabilities.

Our team is comprised of skilled professionals who partner with clients to provide sustainable, pragmatic, and tangible solutions to complex problems. We prioritize teamwork and collaboration, recognizing that people are our greatest asset.

The successful candidate will contribute to improving Defence operational capability through the provision of engineering services to our Defence clients.

Responsibilities include working within a project team to deliver maritime engineering services, leveraging experience in Defence maritime systems, and understanding engineering requirements to deliver practical outcomes for our Defence clients.

Additional responsibilities may include leading, managing, and delivering Defence maritime projects, providing sound advice and solutions to dynamic and complex engineering issues, developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with Defence writing standards and technical documentation requirements.

  • Lead project teams to deliver high-quality maritime engineering services.
  • Utilize expertise in Defence maritime systems to drive project success.
  • Ensure timely delivery of engineering services while maintaining the highest quality standards.

What You'll Need:

To succeed in this role, you will require relevant qualifications in engineering (electrical, mechanical, systems) and industry accreditation. A current Australian Government security clearance (AGSVA) at Baseline level or higher is mandatory, along with eligibility to access information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Additionally, we seek individuals with a proven track record of delivering projects within the Defence environment, demonstrating an understanding of Defence maritime engineering requirements and processes.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant engineering qualifications (electrical, mechanical, systems) with industry accreditation.
  • Current Australian Government security clearance (AGSVA) at Baseline level or higher.
  • Proven experience in delivering projects within the Defence environment.
  • Strong understanding of Defence maritime engineering requirements and processes.
