Offshore Class Surveyor

DNV is seeking a highly skilled Offshore Class Surveyor to join our Australia Fleet in Service team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients' offshore assets meet the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct classification surveys and audits of offshore assets in accordance with DNV's procedures and guidelines.
- Liaise with port and flag states as necessary to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of clients' business information and processes.
- Supervise the work of others and ensure that it is carried out efficiently and economically.
- Communicate important information to line management in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support to customers and promote DNV's services onboard or on-site.
- Participate in DNV's 'Be Well' program to maintain physical and mental wellbeing.

- Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering from a recognized institute or Class-I Marine Engineer certificate of competency.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the maritime and classification industry, preferably with an IACS Classification Society working in Offshore Class.
- Flexibility in traveling and willingness to take unscheduled job calls when required.
- Strong customer service orientation and proven record of managing maritime clients.
- Good understanding of class and statutory requirements.
- Proven ability to effectively manage digitalization and new business opportunities.
- Team player with ability to work independently on surveys.
- Physical abilities necessary to perform regular classification functions.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
