As a key contributor to our organization's security strategy, we are seeking an experienced Senior Open Source Security Specialist to help safeguard users from emerging threats. In this critical role, you will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify issues, prioritize remediation, and develop strategic plans to strengthen the security posture of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of open source packages to identify potential vulnerabilities
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to monitor vulnerabilities throughout their lifecycle and coordinate patch development
  • Develop and implement effective tools to strengthen product security and reduce risk exposure
Requirements:
  • Profound understanding of common security vulnerabilities and methods for mitigation
  • Familiarity with coordinated disclosure practices, open source development methodologies, and industry-recognized standards
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages including C, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Ruby, PHP, or JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication skills with ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
